Polish VACC invites for the seventh edition of the biggest Polish Fly In:

CHOPIN VII

SATURDAY | March 21st | 17-23 UTC | EPWA (Warsaw-Okecie Chopin International Airport)

General Information: Chopin is a traditional "high density" fly in. It used to be one of the most popular online events in Europe and we are bringing it back for you. So, join us in and be a part of the Chopin VII edition! There is no timetable you would have to adhere to. You can join us at any time!
  • Real life callsigns are not required.
  • No fixed routes - just fly to Warsaw from any airport of your choice or vice versa.
  • Some other airports in Poland will be staffed as well - check ATC. It is a good opportunity to fly a short, domestic route.

Three good reasons to visit EPWA on 21st March:

Heavy traffic: Previous editions accumulated more than 250 flights. The average number of operations per hour was higher than the TMA Warsaw capacity in the real world.
All operations were handled with no major delays.

Full, high quality ATC staff: Expect no less than 9 controllers online at peak times working together to safely guide you to or from Warsaw. We will staff 3x Warsaw Radar, 2x Warsaw Approach (Approach and Director), Tower, Ground, Delivery and Coordinator. Fluent traffic flow will be provided by our best,
highly experienced and friendly virtual controllers.

Interesting Airport: Warsaw-Okecie is a middle size international airport with two intersecting runways used simultaneously, 6 APRONS (including international apron with gates, CARGO, GA, Military), ILS and VOR/DME approaches and an extensive taxiway system.
