Dear Friends, Five years ago Paweł 'Pawko' Grządkowski (CTR) made us proud of being able to participate in the unique experience of VATSIM. Sharing his story and the most precious thing he has left behind - a memory of the wonderful Spirit that has remained among us forever even though it had to depart for its eternal flight. Pawko demonstrated that even an incurable illness like Cystic Fibrosis (CF), he suffered from, is unable to break the real Spirit and shatter human dreams. He gave us a lesson of commitment and dignity in the face of the inevitable. He has indisputably changed our lives forever. Four years has passed since Pawko left us and a new generation of VATSIM users has been introduced to our community. We would like to share our memories of Pawko with every VATSIMmer to remember that thanks to him the true Spirit of VATSIM has been and will always remain with us. This Spirit is simply our Pawko himself - full of joy and excitement as we recall the days of his lifetime.
Please read more regarding Pawko's story at: www.pl-vacc.org/papagolf/ To commemorate the 3rd anniversary of Pawko's departure for his eternal flight PL-VACC Controllers would like to invite all the Vatsimmers to participate in the next edition of Papa Golf Memorial Fly-In dedicated to the memory of Pawko and the fight against Cystic Fibrosis (CF). The event will take place within the EPWW FIR on 31st of May 2008 between 1600 and 2200 UTC.
As always, there will be something special in the air. Thanks to the kind consent of the VATGOV, in connection with the fly-in we will be raising funds for charities fighting the CF disease (on purely voluntary basis). PARTICIPATE BY DONATING
You can help us raise more money by adding your donation to the amount shown above. Keep in mind that you need to agree to pay for all flights, not just your own flying. That's why the amount is so small - if you agree to pay 0.01 EUR, and 50 people make 150 flights for a total of 600 points, your final donation will be 6 EUR. Please be careful while donating. We strongly believe that you are a man of your word - should you decide to be the donor, we expect you to pay - we have neither intentions nor means of verifying this. The donation shall be given to the organization of donor's own choice and at his own responsibility. Here are some links to charity organizations you might want to choose from. PARTICIPATE BY FLYING
In order for our donors to get something in return for the money, we will all be flying on the special day of Sunday May 31st between 1600 and 2200 UTC to raise as much money as practical. The more you fly, the more our donors will spend on helping affected by Cystic Fibrosis - so please, get yourself a sandwich, fuel up your plane, log into VATSIM and fly. All landings made between 1600 and 2200 count, and the ranking of most active pilots will be shown on this page. Polish VACC will provide you with breathtaking freeware scenery, maps, airport information and flight plans database.

Our donors agree to pay for every one point. Final amount that will be remited by the donor is total sum of points collected during fly-in multiplied by the amount declared by the donor. Pilots participanting in this event collect points according to the folowing rules:
